We had a large group for dinner this evening at this restaurant. The staff did a great job taking care of us. The food was good. I would recommend this restaurant as a good place if you are looking for barbecue.
I was so looking forward to have some smoked beef brisket and was absolutely disappointed. It looked like shaved thin small pieces off beef jerky. It was dry and tasted off Liquid Smoke. To top it off, it was not cheap and the coleslaw had so much sugar in it that I could not eat it. I don't know about anything else, but avoid getting the smoked beef brisket. The staff was friendly.
Very very retro casual. Open since 1948. Good food and good value
Same awesome quality food since I can remember. 45 + years veteran of this fine establishment and have never had a bad meal.
Pork is terrible! Tasted old and dry. What the heck is shaved pork anyways? Looks like the meat from an Arby's sandwich. Seriously- it is awful!!!! The ribs are dry as well. Potato salad is good. That's about it. This was a first and will be the last time I order food from here.
I found this place by chance when driving along the Old Lee Highway. Tonight I had the small Rib Set. Fresh smoked ribs, halv slab, fully enough for one.The service was freiendly and fast, my Coke was always refilled.Interioor is simple, but all clean and very good condition. This is a place to remember and return. Very good value for money.
Awesome barbeque sandwiches. Love the atmosphere
Great BBQ pork plate as always!Good service and loved the Pecan Pie
Awesome southern dive with a back in time feel! Amazing food!! Reasonably priced, great service! Authentic BBQ smoked in the on premises smoke house. I'm in love with the BBQ sandwich for $4.75 and crispy crinkle cut fries. Homemade potato salad, Homemade coconut and chocolate pies with mile high meringue. I recently started working close by and I can't wait to try everything on the menu.
Always Good... Great food and service I've been eating at couches sense 1969.. Nothing is compared to there food.. my family my mom and Dad / grandparents

This restaurant is very clean. Keeps 98-99 on health score. Food is beyond great. Missing out if you don't stop by. Sweet tea and hot slaw..mmmm
Must stop nostalgia. The foods not half bad either. Stop in thee traveler. No regrets. I've none.
Good food good service. Just remember to take cash or they will charge an additional 3.99% to use a card
Excellent food and wonderful people!
Absolutely great food. I'm not big on BBQ but this place was really good.i had two of the sandwich and ff and best chocolate pie (old fashioned taste yum)
Been eating here over 60 years. Quality, flavor, and service remain the same. It is always a treat.
Very cool atmosphere. Old school bbq joint. Nice wait staff and very good bbq. My wife and I had a pork potato and a brisket potato, and both were very good. The chocolate pie and pecan pie were DELICIOUS so leave room for dessert or get a slice to go
When a 60+ year old man tells me it’s the best BBQ 🍖 he’s had in his life- there is only one reasonable option for a late lunch. This place did not disappoint.Matter of fact it single handily restored my faith in Tennessee BBQ.I ordered the BBQ Combo Plate with the St. Louis style ribs and shaved Brisket. For my sides I selected the green beans and hot slaw. The meats were BBQ’d to perfection, the Signature Sauce has the right amount of spice, and the sides complemented the entrees very well. The service was good and the drink refills were provided promptly as promised. As a first timer here they made me feel very welcome, and provided great hospitality. My only recommendation is for them to sell the Signature Sauce in Mason jars to go.Highly recommend this BBQ establishment to all passing through the area.
Nice meal good price.
Love this historic place. Boomers need to keep this for ourselves , mellinials could not handle it. Lol
Great ribs. Good smoke. Awesome baked beans and good potato salad. Great pecan pie. Friendly service inside. BBQ sauce was good, but I am glad it was on the side because the ribs were awesome on their own as well.
We loved Couch's! Their "Couch Potato" was really wonderful, as well as their onion rings. My husband had the country fried steak & he said it was fantastic too. The homemade hot apple pie is not to be missed but my husband said he wish he had gotten the ice cream that they offered with it. We are putting this place on our regular places to eat list.
My In-Laws love this place. The wife and I - well we agree to go with them. The food is good...not great. The service here is outstanding. BBQ is one of the things that one person could think is awesome another - Meh. Here is is good. The deserts are great.
Ok but definately not the best. Meat is dry unless you put lots of sauce on it.
Great place! This is a hidden gem, recommended by good friends and it did not disappoint! Good smoke flavor on the brisket and ribs and nice kick in the hot slaw. Will definitely be back.
Wow! What delicious ribs we enjoyed at this wonderful little place! We got there a little late -almost closing time but we were welcomed in and not rushed. The servers were incredibly sweet and so attentive! The food was just amazing and we enjoyed every bit of the meal! The wonderful, authentic smokey taste of the ribs was outstanding and the BBQ sauces were just as outstanding! We definitely will be going back soon. I understand why people who visit the area seek out this historic BBQ icon in the area!
Great people, really bad BBQ. They thinly slice the pork and its dried out with no flavor. Picture Arby's meat but with NO moisture. You can't put enough sauce on it to help. Ribs were old tasting and also kinda dried out and scrawny. I know there are many great reviews, I read them prior to going and they fooled me. I wouldn't recommend the BBQ here. If you go there for smoked wings, you'll be alright. I really wanted to like it. I like mom and pop places, but I was mad at myself for wasting $60.00. The extra service charge at the counter because I used my credit card added insult to injury. It's been several hours since I ate at this place and the poor BBQ and expensive pricing still stings. I'm hoping to have a great meal tomorrow somewhere to help wash away this bad experience.
